Misfits - Season 4

Rudy (Joseph Gilgun) just might be right about the two new delinquents who are serving community service with him when the UK's Misfits kicks off its fourth season on Hulu Monday. The irreverent and violent sci-fi series picks up a short time after the heartbreaking events of last season's finale, in which the group lost star-crossed couple Simon (Iwan Rheon) and Alisha (Antonia Thomas) for good.

1. Where's the love? It's bad enough that Simon and Alisha left, but Kelly (Lauren Socha) is gone as well. Since she wasn't written out of last season's finale, we learn from her boyfriend Seth (Mathew McNulty) the outrageously bizarre reason for her not returning after they went on holiday. Without those two romances, the new season is in need of a little tenderness.

Stranger Things season 4 takes place in 1986, so Max is either watching The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote or Misfits of Science. Cox was on all three series in that year. We think the latter show, however, is what Max sat down to watch.

Series 3 of Misfits was a bit scatty, wrapping up the stories of departing originals and rushing to bed in replacements. Theres a bit of that early on here, with more people to be hastily written out and the superpowers taking a backseat, but the new gang is so strong that by the end, season 5 looks set to be a fresh start.

To that end, I'm going to write a paragraph to keep this off the front page of Bleeding Cool and the bit that gets quoted when they post this to Facebook. I got in trouble for the later before and don't really fancy a repeat performance. If you're not up to date with the UK showing of Misfits, I'm going to talk about casting and why and how Simon and Alisha may be replaced in the next series/season of this superpowers show like no other.

This article provides basic information for the reader to understand the connection between soil and crop health. When using cover crops, become familiar with the different types of cover crops for your region by their seasonality. Some will not grow well in the cool weather and some will not grow well in the heat. Also, I would like to encourage the reader to utilize cover crops when possible, to improve poor soil conditions; those lacking drainage especially in the rainy season, those lacking organic material and have excessive drainage, nutrient poor soils, or when growing crops or home gardens. Cover crops can be used during the offseason to condition the soil for your upcoming vegetable garden or agricultural crops.

However, there are some disadvantages to utilizing cover crops. Many like to volunteer or become weedy during the growing season. Additionally, they have uneven growing cycles and growth heights. Matching compatible plants is important, However, this can be difficult, and you may end up creating monocultures of one species, reducing biodiversity. Some cover crops need a large piece of equipment, a roller crimper, to terminate the growing season because of the heartiness or the thickness of the stems. Some lack showy flowers providing nectar and attractiveness, like sorghum, oats, and other grassy cover crops.

As mentioned as a success for increasing crop yields, this is also a disadvantage. To reap the soil quality benefits in order to increase yield, it may take several growing seasons; not good for those necessitating quick soil improvements. Additionally, when you are growing cover crops on a large scale, seed procurement can get very expensive. You can find clover seed selling at $10 per pound. If you lived in the northern parts of US, clover was a weed in your backyard. At $10 per pound for a weed, this may not seem reasonable.

In summary, cover crops provide more benefits than they are misfits. First, determine which benefit you wish to redeem from cover crops, then seek seeds from cover crops that have compatible growing cycles and growth heights. Next month, I will discuss specific groups of cover crops, seasonality, and pictures to identify them.

Thursday night Glee will embark upon the journey that is season 4. The series started as a cultural touchstone; the right program made just at the right time. American television needed a shake-up and Glee offered it, ushering in a new era of musicals and a whole crop of shows made in its image (think Smash).

But Glee seems to have hit its high note way back in season 1, and ever since Ryan Murphy and his band of lovable misfits have been pulling out the stops looking for a way to get back their status as must-see TV.

Thursday night's season premiere will set the tone for what's to come for the rest of the season, and quite honestly, there is a lot. Shake those Glee haters off, because maybe (just maybe) the best days of Glee are back. Here are the top 5 reasons to look forward to season 4.

Thursday nights episode has an A-list guest star and she'll be coming back for more. Kate Hudson is starring as Rachel's teacher in New York City. From the promo she looks fierce and can sing and dance like nobody's business. If Hudson weren't enough, later this season we have Sarah Jessica Parker to look forward to. Parker will be playing the character Isabelle Klempt and apparently her path will cross with Kurt's ...

Didn't you miss having the top of your iTunes list be a Glee number? I will make a prediction: Every Thursday night at 10 pm for the rest of the Glee season the number one iTunes song will be from that night's episode. On episode 1 "The New Rachel" we definitely know we are in for a "Call Me Maybe" rendition. We'll just have to tune in to see what else they have in store. 041b061a72
